In recent years, following the continued implementation of the "14th Five-Year Plan" for Urban Household Waste Classification and Treatment Facilities Development, numerous provinces and cities across the country have introduced detailed requirements for the construction of waste sorting facilities. The Department of Housing and Urban-Rural Development of Zhejiang Province issued the "Guidelines for Setting Up Household Waste Sorting Points (Trial)" in 2025, which clearly stipulates that sorting collection containers must possess basic features such as clear identification, leak-proof and odor-proof sealing, and durability with easy cleaning. The guidelines also encourage the use of corrosion-resistant and rust-proof materials.

      Against this backdrop, municipal procurement has placed increased emphasis on the functional suitability of outdoor garbage bins. For example, to address the issue of liquid leakage from kitchen waste, some regions now require the configuration of specialized bins with drainage functions. For recyclables, there is a preference for using transparent or semi-transparent materials to facilitate identification. Industry experts point out that sanitation equipment manufacturers need to closely follow changes in local standards and provide product solutions that meet regional management needs, rather than relying solely on general-purpose models.

      It is noteworthy that some cities have begun piloting a model that involves "optimizing bin placement points + scheduled waste disposal." This model imposes higher integration requirements for centralized waste disposal stations, including supporting facilities such as rain shelters, lighting, surveillance cameras, and handwashing stations. This trend is prompting relevant companies to extend their offerings from single product supply to comprehensive small-scale environmental solutions.
